5.5 IQ Force Pump Maintenance
IQ Force pumps are fairly maintenance free with the exception of the replacement of the pump filter, which should be replaced when it becomes clogged or fails the leak test.
5.5.1 Replacing pump filter
1. Remove the two screws that hold the inlet port filter holder to the pump. Gently pull the filter holder free of the pump. Remove the o-ring from the inlet porthole. The pump hydrophobic filter is located beneath the o-ring in the inlet port of the pump housing. Use a small screwdriver or other object to punch through the filter and remove it. Be careful not to scratch or gouge the pump housing inlet porthole. Place new hydrophobic filter into inlet porthole. Reinsert o-ring into inlet porthole on top of hydrophobic filter. Reinsert filter holder into inlet porthole on top of o-ring and secure with the two screws removed instep 1.
