Following you can find the descriptions of the main functions of VMT-HART. 9.1. MENU When selecting the device in the Live List, the DDL file is loaded, as the manufacturer, model and device review. The VMT-HART display the main menu with the content defined in the "root-menu" HART DDL of the device. Menus are displayed using a tree architecture, making navigation easier, intuitively. The general layout and navigation screens are common for all devices, only changing the content, as defined in the DDL. The main menu typically consist of a series of buttons that lead to various sub-menus, methods and parameters. The menus and buttons are represented by methods describing the label, with methods having a * at the end of the label. The parameters are displayed using label, along with the value and unit (if any. Selecting the menu button, the corresponding sub-menu will open. Selecting the method button, the corresponding action is taken. Figure 9.1 shows an example of a main menu, which is the temperature transmitter HART VTT10-H. Figure 9.1 – Main screen - VTT10-H. To navigate to a different menu, simply select the desired menu. To return to the previous menu, press "Back" button. Use menus to access all the data exactly as defined by device DDL, as described by the manufacturer.
